Upcoming Free Open Day - Sunday, June 7th at 10 am
With the college year drawing to a close, we are delighted to announce our final Open Day starting at 10 am on Sunday, June 7th, which will be held at Engineer’s House, Bristol.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone out there who is curious or thinking about studying Homeopathy. Come and join our 1st-year students, either live in Bristol, or sit in on the lecture via Zoom, to get a feel for The Contemporary College of Homeopathy’s style and approach to teaching.
The two-part lecture will run from 10 am - 1 pm, where we will be guided through Sepia & Hormonal Remedies by the college’s Core Lecturer and Supervisor, Linda Shannon. In this lecture, we will initially approach Sepia's Material Medica by looking at the survival patterns of the cuttlefish and how these translate into some of Sepia’s characteristic symptoms. We will also look at the various life situations that can lead to a person needing Sepia, and consolidate this with some case examples. The other hormonal remedies that will be covered in the lecture are Cimicifuga, Thyroidinum and Folliculinum.
After the lecture, there will be a one-hour break for lunch (see details below for options, prices and booking ahead), where you can sit and chat with our students to gain insights into their experiences so far. After lunch, you will then be invited to sit down with Mike Bridger (the Principal of the college) and Louise Hall (the Vice Principal of the College), who will be available for an informal chat and to answer any further questions you might have.
Below are a few words from one of our current 1st Year students, who took the decision to attend one of the college’s Open Lectures last year:
“I was already certain I wanted to study homeopathy before I visited CCH, so going to see the college was mostly about whether it was the right place and the right course. It was important to me to visit in person to get a feel for the college - the place and the people, the whole energy of it - the irony of which is not lost on me - studying an energetic medicine! I found it so personable and welcoming: the environment, tutors, students and other staff, so on top of the well-structured course with knowledgeable, experienced lecturers, this finalised my decision and has proved to be the right one. I’m enjoying the course so much and can’t believe I’ve almost finished the first year already!” - Siobhan.
Lunch options:
While you are more than welcome to bring your own, a two-course lunch is available, if booked ahead of time, from 1–2 pm and is a buffet serving a variety of hot and cold dishes, plus desserts, for £10. If you’d like refreshments during the morning as well, it would be £13.50 and includes unlimited use of the hot drinks machine along with biscuits, crisps, fruit, etc.
If you will be attending in person, or via Zoom, are interested in the lunch above options, or have any further questions about the menu, or about joining us for the Open Lecture, please do not hesitate to contact Lou by email: louisem.hall@googlemail.com
